ABOUT Adam and Lianne
Adam and Lianne met in Gwangju, South Korea in 2013 - as English teachers with EPIK, the English Program in Korea. Always the event organizer, Lianne invited Adam to a welcome dinner for new teachers. Not long after, Adam invited Lianne to play ping-pong.
Adam GreenbergAdam Greenberg is grateful his 20s were a debt-free decade traveling with intention through work with meaning.
And he believes it's time we make it possible for more young people to be able to say the same! We have got to reform our broken student loan debt system. And we have got to make college affordable for all. For Adam, some of that work with meaning includes TOMS, the Obama White House, teaching abroad, two proud terms of national service with AmeriCorps, and beginning in 2018, 27 months of Peace Corps service in rural Zambia with Lianne. Through his work exploring art and entrepreneurship in the Gift Economy (and other economic experiments), Adam is the founding artist of CREATEandGIFT.org - an offshoot of Tonight's Watercolor - his successful 2010 new year's resolution to paint every night and give the originals away for free to anyone, anywhere around the world (Yes, free shipping too). Lianne is his better-half and together, they founded #CleanGwangju. Adam is a simple man who loves bread and water. |
Lianne BronzoLianne Bronzo is the founder and owner of 'CAUSE Banana Bread - a small business she started in South Korea to raise money for important causes in the community, while sharing a foreign treat with a population that has never tasted Western-style banana bread.
Lianne also started the Gwangju Freecycle chapter and co-founded #CleanGwangju with Adam, to help their new city clean up its litter problem. She is Adam's better-half who writes more succinctly, loves to de-clutter, and really loves leaves. Lianne is excited to serve with Adam in Zambia as US Peace Corps Volunteers next year. |
After leaving Korea in 2015, Adam and Lianne traveled slowly through SE Asia for 6 months, CouchSurfing and volunteering with help exchanges along the way.
Afterward, Lianne taught English briefly at a university in Japan while Adam completed a two-month sea-kayaking and glacial mountaineering expedition with NOLS, the National Outdoor Leadership School, in the US and Canada.
In 2017, Adam and Lianne are taking advantage of Australia's one year work and holiday visa - driving, camping, volunteering, working, and housesitting around the large country, while applying to serve in the US Peace Corps for 2018 and beyond.
